Our Mission
Our mission is to fund scientific research into the underlying causes of developmental disorders, through the exploration of environmental and genetic factors that can affect the physiology of a developing fetus.
Our focus is the complex, synchronized, well-orchestrated process of fetal development in the context of a child who later presents with a developmental disorder. We hope to provide insight into potential underlying physiological delays and differences that are associated with developmental disorders, the goal being to identify developmental disorders with biological markers as the basis for medical diagnoses. We hope to fund the research necessary to identify environmental factors that may have an adverse effect on fetal development, during critical windows of susceptibility throughout pregnancy. Equally important to our mission is the identification of genetic influences that may further compound the effects of environmental factors.
Our goal is the prevention
of developmental disorders. To carry out our mission, we will
conduct regular symposiums to present the results of relevant
research and to determine the future research we will support.
