Where is our philosophical home in science and research?

The Fetal Physiology Foundation will not reside in one realm of science. Though we can learn a great deal about abnormalities in human functioning by expanding our knowledge of the developing human brain, we are not exclusively interested in neuroscience. As we implement our mission, we endeavor to join many areas of science to our discussions and research opportunities. These other philosophical areas of science and research could include fetal physiology, perinatology, pediatric neurology, genetics, toxicology as well as developmental psychology and developmental medicine. For this reason, we are not a single-disorder or single-discipline organization. By empowering our mission in this manner, we hope to find unifying principles and causes among many disorders.
